Mood Swings...

This is how I feel Today..... But I am trying really hard to feel like this.....

A Beautiful Artwork...

This is what is being displayed in the entrance to Noah's school...all the artwork from the kids. Here is Noah's... (I think it is a tree)...

The Sick Bug!

Well, Saturday morning Noah woke up extra early and told me he had a stomach ache and that he needed to come lay in my bed. Normally we don't let him lay with us until 7am. Maybe that sounds mean but we need our sleep! At 7am he is more than welcome to crawl into bed with us and watch cartoons. I went in his room and was telling him how he needed to go back to sleep just as he started throwing up all over me. He really did have a stomach ache, poor guy! Well for the next hour he was quite the sick little boy! Thankfully we had some medicine left over from his last stomach bug that helped him stop throwing up. He spent the next few hours laying in our bed watching tv. I put a towel down just in case and it was a good thing I did because we went through several of them! Here is what my little sickie looked liked...

Knock Knock...

For some reason I allowed Noah to sit on the kitchen table today while he was telling Allen and I jokes. Noah: Why did the chicken cross the road?
Mom: Why?
Noah: To get to the Other SLIDE.
(mom: confused look on her face)

Noah: Why did the hair drink the necklass?
Dad: why?
Noah: Cause!
Noah: Burst into Laughter.

There were several others but I just can't remember them now...but they were so funny!

Robbie, the Easter Bunny!!

Robbie, The Easter Bunny, gave Noah this amazng basket filled with REAL grass. We have had the best time taking care of it and watching it grow. I mean I never thought in a million years I would love watching grass grow but I do!! We all like coming downstairs in the morning to see how much it has grown! Thanks Robbie!!!

crazy pictures...

Check out what my new camera can do...

Happy Birthday Padon

Today is Padon's birthday. Padon is one of the boys in Noah's class. We all decided to go to Monkey Joe's to celebrate but Padon got sick and couldn't make it. We all hung out and had a fun playdate. We hope Padon feels better so he can join us next time! Here are a few pictures of the day...

LOST!

Wednesday after soccer, we have a great group of people over for dinner and then we watch LOST...the greatest show ever!! This week we had 2 special guests (who we all hope to become as regular as they can)...The Shaw's!! I tried to eat Baby Landon...
Rebecca and I were just giving Landon some lovin!!

And the boys were in a very serious LOST conversation...

Another great LOST party...can't wait until next week!!

Picnic in the ...park?

Wednesday's have become quite the busy day for us. I love watching Noah play soccer but it is hard trying to get those shin guards, socks, and cleats on that boy!! Whew...just thinking about it wears me out. But it is worth it..i mean how cute are they??

So anyway, last night we got all ready for practice, drove to practice and as we were pulling in, the coach called to tell us it was cancelled because it was SUPPOSED to rain. Ugh! I mean they played 10 minutes of a game in the rain that should have been cancelled but called a practice because it was supposed to rain...crazy!! I think i was just bummed because it took me longer to get all the soccer gear on than it did to drive to practice 20 minutes away.

Noah's practices are right in the middle of dinner time so I pack him a dinner and he eats it on the way home because he is starving by the end of it.
Since practice was cancelled, we came home and had a picnic in the living room. It was fun!!!

Mail!!

Today at school, I checked Noah's cubby and he had some mail from his friend Madeline. Madeline drew him a very cute picture of what I think are 2 people. Noah opened it and told me she wrote to him and decided to read her letter outloud to me and this is what it said...

"Dear Noah,
Noah is great. Padon is also great. Padon plays games with Noah. But Noah is the greatest.

love,
Madeline"

hmmm. do you think Noah has low self esteem?? Maybe I should be encouraging him more...hahaha.

Noah's First Soccer Game

Today was Noah's first soccer game!! He had one last week but it got rained out about 10 minutes into the game so today was his first real game. I am very proud to announce that even though he is in a league without goalies and without keeping score...Noah scored 3 goals!!! I still can't decide who was more proud...him...or me!! After he scored the first goal, he immediatly turned to his fan club (me, Allen, Grandpa, Diane, and James) and when i saw how proud he was of himself, i seriously got tears in my eyes. Thank God I had on sunglasses!!

Since my camera broke (I ordered a new one and it is in route as we speak) I have to deal with Allen's camera phone (which is actually pretty good) and the mercy of waiting for Dad to send me his pictures of today but until i get those...these will have to do!
check out those moves...

this one is out of order...this was thebeginning of the game...

And this picture was from the rainy game last week...

Love You Forever

When I was pregnant with Noah, one of Allen's aunts gave me a book called "Love You Forever" at the shower Allen's family threw for me. When I opened the book all the women were "ooohhhing and ahhhhhhing" over the book. I had never heard of it before but it apparently it left a mark on everyone there. Everyone kept telling me I would cry when I read this book and to be honest I gave them all a very polite smile and nod of my head but inside I was thinking "what a bunch of weirdos". I read it once to Noah when he was just a few weeks old and while reading it my eyes filled with tears but i quickly blamed it on the hormones still trying to work themselves out. I must have put the book away and it kept getting pushed further and further back in the cabinet because it wasn't until last night that I saw it again. It was bedtime and I asked Noah to go pick out a book and this was the one he came back with. I was excited about it and as I read the book, my eyes started tearing and as I kept reading, the tears started streaming down my face! It really is a great book!!! At one point Noah leaned over and gave me a huge kiss and hug and told me everything would be okay...hahaha...what a sweet kid!

I guess Allen's aunts were right!! I am just a big sap too!! If you are a mother to a son (or more than one) i urge you to read this book...but grab a box of tissues first!!

Memory Lane...

With the latest technology of ipods, itunes, Rhapsody, etc; CD's are a thing of the past! I hardly ever see them anymore which is actually great because they used to be all over my room, car, and closet. Really! I used to have my friend Chris burn me TONS of cds with my favorite songs on them and somehow they ended up all over the place. I spent countless amounts of money on cd holders yet the cd's rarely made it into them.

Most of my old burned cd's had a theme and some were very specific: Country Guy Singers, Christian Fast songs, Broadway Musicals...I am not even kidding! I would make cd's with songs on them depending on my mood or what was going on in my life.

I recently found 2 of my old cd's and ironically they were the 2 I listened to the most! The first titled "Meghan's Favorite Love Songs" was burned when i was a freshman in college and on top of the world! I was so naive about so many things yet to come! I thought I would share the list of my favorite love songs from back then...
1. She's Every Woman by Garth Brooks
2. The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra
3. When You say Nothing at All by TigerRoar
4. Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton
5. It's Your Love by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
6. Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis
7. Angel Eyes by Jeff Healy Band
8. You Move Me by Garth brooks
9. Chances Are from the Hope Floats soundtrack.

The 2nd cd i found is titled "Meghan's Favorite Break Up Songs". This cd was made during my junior year of college when things changed quite a bit for me. I was not so much on top of the world because i had recently had my heart shattered into a million pieces. Because of it, I switched schools, moved back home, and spent a lot of time in my room. Along with my amazing mother, this cd got me through the rough time. Now don't feel bad for me, I actually learned a lot about myself during this time, got involved in youth ministry, and started a much better path which actually led me to my current family!!

Here's the list of my favorite break up songs...
1. At This Moment by Billy Vera
2. In a Week or Two by Diamond Rio
3. What Might Have Been by Little Texas
4. Now and Then (don't know who sings it)
5. Far Apart by Five Way Friday
6. No Time for Lonely by Five Way Friday
7. Every Rose Has A Thorn by Poison
8. You're Gone by Diamond Rio
9. I'll Be Okay on the My Best Friends Wedding soundtrack
10. I will Survive by Gloria Gaynor
11. Everyone Hurts by REM

It was really fun to find them and listen to the songs again. Especially after not hearing some of those songs for so long. It was nice to take a little trip down memory lane but even better to see how my plan in life wasn't nearly as great as the one God had in store for me. I wouldn't wish the pain that I went through on my worst enemy but I also wouldn't change it for myself for a million dollars. I learned so much, and now have 2 great cds!!

Ahhhhhhhh!!!

My world as I know it is over....My camera broke!!! Hopefully it is an easy fix but until I get it fixed I am relying on Allen's camera phone or stealing other people's pictures. So my faitrhful readers, stay with me...I will survive!!

Good Day Sunshine!

We have been enjoying some beautiful weather the past few days and Noah and I have been enjoying the park...Here are some pictures from out time there the other day...

my Goofy Husband...

One of the many things I love about Allen is the way he goes all out when doing skits for the teens. Check out his outfit for a skit...

Does a Body Good...

The other day I dropped our gallon of milk and it cracked so i had to find something to put the milk in and the only thing i could find fast was a flower vase...
nice huh??

Always Listen to your mother...

As usual, Noah did not have on any clothes but wanted to go outside so I told him he needed a shirt and shoes. I just kind of expected he would put on pants too but he did exactly what I said and went out like this...

so the moral of the story is always listen to your mother....even if she makes you look silly!

Our Mountain Weekend Getaway!!

Noah and I went up with Allen on his retreat this past weekend and stayed in our own room. We had a great time hanging out in the great outdoors and the weather was amazing!! Noah loved playing on the playground and thankfully it was right outside our room...

Saturday morning Noah and I had to make a Wal mart run (thanks to Elizabeth we found it!!) and we stopped off at Goats On A Roof. It is this place that really has goats living on the roof...it is kind of crazy but very entertaining for a 3 year old and his mom.

You can kind of see the goats up there...and Noah is talking to them.

We paid 25 cents to get some goat food and put it in this cup to pedal up to the goats so they could eat it. Noah couldn't reach the pedals so he used his hands...

here is the little "pully" thing that brought the food up...you can see the goats are waiting for it...

While at Wal Mart, Noah got some more cars and trucks (like we don't have enough)...but they kept him entertained in the room at night...

One of the fun parts about being up there while the retreat is going on is to spend time with the amazing people...especially James...

Lately, Noah is very into rocks. He loves to find them and give them to me. Here he is showing me his latest find...

While everyone was in the retreat, Noah and I loved hanging out in the big field...

Check out how beautiful it is

During free time, Allen played some soccer with Noah.

And we got to go see Gabby's new school...a Montesorri school (just like the one i went to).

On the way back, Noah got a ride from Taylor. Noah attracts the pretty girls!!!

At night we chilled in our cabin and Noah watched some movies on my laptop...

And of course Noah hung out all weekend with his favorite girlfriend...Sarah!!
