Dumb things people do...

yes, i saw the man driving this car...exactly as you see it here...it was very odd!

Some mall fun

Thank goodness for the mall on these hot summer days...they have a great indoor play area... check out my batman!!

Noah's fan club...

gotta beat the heat!!!

A little reward...

Last night after working hard at the garage sale, we rewarded our hard days work with a trip to Stone Mountain. I wiasn't sure if Noah would make it since it didn't start until 9:30pm but hoped he would nap in the car...he did not.

We treated ourselves to some ice cream...

And Nonna treated Noah to a Bubble gun...

Noah entertained us with some dancing...I caugh this move with my camera...what a face huh??

Poor Noah fell asleep right in the middle of the laser show and slept right throught he firework show too!! We made it back to the car and Nonna help Noah's head since he was sound asleep and the booster seat is not the best for sleeping...

What a fun night!!

Garage Sale!!

Friday and Saturday were HOT here in Atlanta!! My mom's neighborhood was having a weekend garage sale so we decidedto help mom clean out her garage and join in the sale on Saturday.
Noah was a champ keeping himself busy while we cleaned out the garage and sorted what was throw away, what was going in the sale, and what was for keeps. Check out his awesome tent!!

i should have taken a "before" garage picture but this is the "during" and boy does it look so much better!!

BOYS!!!

This past week, Noah and I had some fun with the Ferguson boys!! Jacob and Noah are 2 weeks apart and Jacob has 2 younger brothers, Nathan (the Wild Man), and Jonah. We went to my dad's neighborhood for the day and had a blast swimming with them. This is the ONLY picture I managed to get out of the whole day but Noah and I are sure glad they came to have some fun in the sun!!!

Blah Blah Blah

I often have dreams about the house i grew up in. I LOVED that house. Well, actually I loved the memories that came with that house. My parents bought the house when I was 3 and they sold it when i was 22. I was very against it when they decided to move but my vote didn't count. When i was in high school, I was involved in lots of activities and would get home late many days (after dark). To unwind, I would go outside in my driveway and sit on the hood of my car. I loved sitting out there. We lived at the corner of 2 cul-de-sac's so it was pretty quiet at night. I loved just looking at the stars and listening to the insects. Sometimes I would sneak out my bedroom window and sit on the roof but most of the time i sat in the driveway.

Allen is out of town. He left yesterday and will be home on Sunday. Noah and I spent all day today at Nonna's house getting ready for her neighborhood garage sale tomorrow. After he went to bed I went a little crazy around our house finding things to sell at the sale tomorrow. I was going to and from my car carrying junk out there to take to my mom's tomorrow. After the last trip to my car for the night I stayed outside for a while. We live in a townhouse so our street isn't quite the quiet road like the one I grew up on. I tried to see the stars but the street lights were too bright to really see them. I couldn't hear any insects because there were too many cars going up and down the road, lots of people were out walking their dogs, and 5 houses down there was a party going on with VERY loud music. Maybe tonight I will make it back to Windsong Court in my dreams. I sure miss that place!

Wipeout!!

Noah and I had some friends over to swim today (don't ask me how i didn't get one picture of that) but we had a great time!! I was worn out after a great day of swimming and was hoping Noah would chill and watch a movie when we got home so i could sneak in a little nap myself. Noah had ideas of his own but none of them included resting. I did not get my nap in and after an afternoon of playing fun games, I got up to make some dinner. I made a 10 minute phone call while I was making dinner and when I got off the phone to call Noah for dinner, this is what i found.....
I couldn't believe it...it was only 5:45pm and Noah had not eaten dinner yet so i tried to wake him up but there was no chance of that..he just kept on snoring. So I carried him upstairs and put him to bed...just like this....no clothes or anything. I just hope he is sooo tired he sleeps until 7 tomorrow and I don't get a 5am wake up call!

So Long, farewell...

Monday night at the married couples Bible Study Allen and I are in, we had 2 surprises up our sleeves. Josh and Allison just bought a new house so we wanted to have a house-warming party for them and Tish and Curt are moving so we had a "farewell" party for Tish (since Curt has actually already moved and is waiting for Tish to finish up with the house). We all went in and bought Josh and Allison a new grill (but i managed to not get a single picture) and we got Tish a bottle of wine and a crucifix to go with her collection of both.

We will miss you Tish and Curt!!!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy father's day to all the wondeful father's, grandfather's, godfathers, etc! What a great day it was at the Austin house! We did a whole lot of nothing!! That is the best kind of day! Well, actually we did a lot...we did a lot of hanging out and playing today! The 3 of us spent most of the morning hanging out playing "tickling monster" to Noah. I, for one, HATE to be tickled...I hate it!! Noah, however, LOVES to be tickled with a passion!! I just don't get it but he loves it. And I don't mean lay there quietly while I rub his arm...no I mean full tickling, the kind that just watching him makes me laugh so hard because he goes crazy out of control.

After the "tickling monster" game we hung out and watched tv for a while...

Noah spent some time with Nonna while Allen and I had to go to work....He sure loves his Nonna....

Then Noah and I took Allen out to dinner....

And I think the best part was the cute band that hung out near our table singing to Noah...he was very entertained...

Happy Father's day!!!! We loveyou Allen!!!

Grilling Out...

Tonight, Allen did some grilling while Noah and I sat outside with him playing with chalk.

Noah's silly faces....

Wishin...and Hoping.....and praying....

Today I went to Elizabeth's wedding shower. Now Elizabeth is also one of my most faithful blog readers and I just learned today that she usually checks my blog on her iphone while driving so Elizabeth, Put the phone down, the light has probably turned green already!!! hehe The first game was very cute...Mandi did a great job planning it. Eric (E's husband to be) had answered a bunch of questions in advance (ie: What is your favorite color, who is your favorite super hero, what was your favorite cereal as a kid, etc). Elizabeth had to answer all the questions and the ones she missed, she had to hold a balloon....she started out like this....

And ended up like this......

Then we broke up into teams and with a roll of toilet paper made wedding dresses for Elizabeth to pick out! Beautiful Katie was our model...I think she looks awesome!!

We were her acting bridesmaids...

check out all the blushing brides...hehe

The cake was so cute!!! It looks almost too good to eat...almost!! It tasted just as yummy as it looked!!!

Elizabeth and her bridesmaids....

Congrats E!! Can't wait for October!!!
