I am seeing stars

This picture was also from back in December when we drove to Lake lanier to see the Christmas lights. At the end of the show, there is a little carnival there with some rides. Here is Miranda on the best ride there. It is one of those things that shoots you in and out and around and around. It was going so fast that Miranda was squishing me so hard (and she isn't very heavy). It was really fun and we kept going back for more!

Oldie but Goodie

This was taken a few months ago but I thought I would put it up. I went to South Carolina for a friends wedding back in December and I stayed with My Aunt and Uncle. My cousins Elliot, Kelsey, and Alyssa were all there. I wasn't even Columbia for 24 hours but it was still great to see them.

The Little Drummer Boy

Noah got a pair of drums for Christmas from Nonna. We keep them at Nonna's house (I thought it was only fair) and he loves to play them Here is a picture of my little drummer boy. He is actually very good. He has "drummer skills" that I have no idea where he learned them...maybe he was just born with them. I imagine I will be at several shows of his when he grows up.

Conversations

For those of you who don't know, Allen auditioned for a part in the play "Rumors" which he got and has had rehearsals several times a week. Since Noah and I are on our own those nights, I like to take him to fun places for dinner...my mom's house (he LOVES going to "Nonna's"), the mall, Chuck E. Cheese...etc. Tonight we ventured out to Chuck E Cheese and Noah and I played games and had pizza while watching some poor man or women in an oversized mouse costume shaking hands with all the kids. Noah liked to watch from afar but had no interest in actually talking to the giant mouse. We stayed and played way too long but I couldn't help it, we were having such a good time together. But inside wasn't even the best part. One of my favorite parts about being Noah's mom is that he loves to have "conversations" with me when we are driving together in the car. When he was younger our "conversations" mostly consisted of one word sentences like Truck, Plane, Juice, Sun... Things that we would point out or things that he would want. But tonight I realized just how big he is getting when he actually said real sentences to me such as this..."I had fun at Chuck E Cheese, Mom. Thanks. I love you". My heart pretty much melted right then and there. Then he went on to tell me a story about one of his friends from his class and I LOVED just listening to him talk to me. I hope he still wants to have our "Car Conversations" when he is 16 and there are girls in the car too!

Just Because

I caught a picture of Noah and Allen chilling on the couch watching some tv and thought it was cute.

A New Years Present

Over Christmas, we got to spend a few hours with one of my favorite people in the world, Jessica. Jess and I were friends in highschool and she now lives in Seattle with her husband, Matt. I miss getting to see her all the time but love when she comes in town to Atlanta. Noah and I got to spend a few hours with her over the New Year.

Baptism of Maggie and Micah

On November 1, My good friends Cassi and Eric had twins! Maggie Grace and Micah James were born a month early! In January, the twins were baptised. I was asked to be Micah's Godmother and here are a few pictures of the day.

This is my good friend Lisa, who happens to be Noah's Godmother

this is part of the Colletta family. Sharon is Maggie's Godmother and one of my good friends. Noah likes to play with her kids, Maddie, Brill, and Jake (who isn't in the picture)

This is Tim and I (Micah's Godparents). Tim is the husband of Lisa, who is Noah's Godmother. As you can tell we are all one big happy family!

Allen and I snuck in a picture at the baptism too!

snow day

Allen is teaching Noah how to throw snowballs at mom

a few weeks ago we had some snow. Of course it was on a Saturday so we didn't get an actual snow day from work and school. We still managed to have a blast. Allen, Noah and I took a garbage bag and went sledding down the one hill in our neighborhood. We were amazed that there weren't kids and adults out to play in the snow. I hope Noah realizes what awesome parents he has, we were the only ones out there! Plus, I managed to get a huge bruise on my butt from hitting all he rocks while sledding without a real sled.

Noah and Miranda

Mommy Michael

so today Noah got some play-doh from a friend at school and he and I were playing with it on the kitchen table. I made some of it into a little ball and Noah told me he was going to throw it across the room. I explained to him that we don't throw it becasuse it isn't a real ball and it would get stuck in the carpet. Without hesitation, he flung it across the room and I said to him..."Noah Michael, that is not good behavior". A few minutes later i told him it was almost nap time and he didn't want to hear that because it would mean he had to stop playing with his new play-doh and he snapped back at me with a strong "NO!". When I told him he was going to sit in a time-out if he kept talking to me like that he said..."Mommy Michael, stop talking!" Inside I was laughing that he thinks we all have the same middle name when we are in trouble. Oh Kids.
