Congrats Fergusons!!

My good friends, Jon and Keri, are about to welcome their 3rd boy into the world early next year! They just found out yesterday they are having a boy and shared these amazing ultrasound pictures with everyone! I just had to post them on my blog for several reasons. 1... because I am super excited for them and can't wait to meet the newest boy Ferguson in Feb or March. 2...because we are in a very important week in the history of our country with it being election week! There are so many important issues when it comes to voting for a candidate but one issue outweighs them all...the Right to Life!! If we, as Christians, and even more importantly, as Human Beings, can't respect life at ALL stages, then how can we make important decisions on healthcare, taxes, or war crimes if we don't care about the people those decisions effect! These ultrasound pictures are so amazing...you can actually see the baby boy's eyes, nose, mouth, arms, legs, fingers, toes, and obviously body parts because they know the sex of the baby! It is just another proof that God is so amazing to allow us to live in this world!

Teen Retreat

One of my jobs as a youth minister is to lead retreats and this weekend, along with the most amazing adult leaders, we had a great retreat in the North Georgia mountains.

Lauren is so amazing not only because she drives from Auburn to spend a weekend with teens, but because she is an amazing witness of God's love to everyone! Here we are near the waterfall... It was very cold outside in our "girls small group".
Here's a group shot...

And here are the amazing leaders! what a team!!!

A Day in the life...

What would a day in the Austin household be without some bumps and bruises?

This morning before t-ball, i noticed Noah had a red spot on his eyeball but it didn't look very bad so we headed off for our usual thursday morning practice. After practice i noticed the spot on his eye was worse so we went to the doc to find out Noah scratched his cornea and broke a blood vessel. We have no idea exactly how this happened but the doc said to leave the eye patch on for 24 hours (it lasted 7). I don't think it would have lasted 10 minutes if it weren't for my amazing mother who was working from home. She met us for lunch and then bought Noah a Pirate costume complete with hat, sword, and hook. For the entire day he kept the eye patch on because he was a Pirate!

The Scooter

Allen, Noah, and I took his scooter to the park. Once it got dark, it got really cold but that didn't stop Noah from having fun! Allen and Noah...
goofballs...

Bike Derby

Noah's school had a bike -a-thon to raise money for St Jude's hospital. I snuck in to take a picture while they were riding around in the family center. Here's Noah and his friend Ella.
They learned about bike safety and helmet safety too!!

A weekend away...

Last weekend, Allen, Noah and I were able to get away for a few days in the Ga Mountains. Our friends, Paul and Betsy, invited us to join them for the weekend at their cabin. We had a great time and Saturday went to the Ga Apple festival. Here's Noah in front of some very cool (and loud) motorcycles... check out the yellow fire truck...

We saw Madeline and her family at the festival. Madeline and Noah are friends from school...

mini beach vacation ...part 2

My cousin, Alyssa, drove down to Hilton head for the day with her 3 kids. Noah had a great time playing with Jayne Mac, Asher, and Eloise.

Here's Jayne Mac and Noah watching Eloise (of course I was right there).

My mom loved playing with Eloise.

We went out to the beach for a little while but it started to rain.

So we packed up and headed to the indoor pool (i will have to steal some pictures from Alyssa because i don't take any there.)

On the way back, Noah and Jayne Mac were sharing goldfish

After the pool, we let the kids "play golf" for a while. Which really means run around with golf clubs as weapons..heheh

Alyssa and Eloise...

Asher, JM, and Noah were so cute...

awe, what cute cousins.

See no evil, Hear no evil, speak no evil...

Group shot...

The next day Mom, Noah, and I spent some time at the Marriott down the road.

It was beautiful!!

We had a picnic by the heated outdoor pool...

Then we went on a walk and Noah rode his scooter...

We saw some very scary spider webs...

and lots of pumpkins...

and stopped for some yummy drinks...

What a great week!!!
