Ode to Beth

Beth and I have been friends since high school. The very first day in homeroom we were seated in alphabetical order and i sat right behind Beth Eiden. I remember like it was yesterday when Beth turned around and handed me a note with her name and number on it and told me to call her sometime and we could hang out. Well, 16 years later Beth is still my best friend. She was my Matron of Honor in my wedding (I had a matron and a maid...2 amazing women) and words can't describe how much i love her! I am not really sure i tell her enough so I am dedicating this post to her. Beth is the friend that knows EVERYTHING about me, I mean EVERYTHING. There is not a single thing about my life she doesn't know about. We have been through a lot together. She was by my side every step of the way while I was battling cancer in high school and I was there when her dad suddenly died in college. We have been through boyfriends, breakups, heartaches, and tons of laughter together. The thing I love best about our friendship is the way I have learned the true meaning of unconditional love. Like i said before, Beth knows everything about me and yet she doesn't judge me. I can tell her dumb things i say and do and she listens and then says what is on her mind... usually it is telling me what a goofball I am being...and MOST of the time she is right! :) I loved that today when i called her, she could tell by the sound of my voice what was wrong and what it was about. I didn't even have to say it. Beth, I hope you know how much i love you and our friendship!!
