Too Far Away...

Today our good friends, The Halpern's, came to Atlanta! Allen, Noah, and I spent the day downtown with them!! It was soooo good to see them!!

Emily, Jacob, and Bridget.... First we met for lunch at the CNN center...

Allen and Chris have been best friends since high school...

and they are still best friends today!!...now i have to mention that all though it looks like Allen and Chris are really thirsty and drinking coda or tea...they poured their beer from lunch into the to go cups and are drinking it from a straw...crazy!!

We let the boys run around in the Olympic Village...

they needed a break so they layed down in the grass for a while...so cute!

Chris, Em, and I watching the kids play...

the trouble makers....just kidding. The boys loved playing together and we all decided to go to the new Coke Museum...

waiting to go inside...

Bridget zonked out....

Noah was enjoying the pretend soda shop...

as was i....

so was everyone else....

Allen was helping out in the kitchen.....

check out all the coke stuff..mmmm, i am getting thirsty.....

how cute are the boys....

we caught a 4D movie...Bridget, Joshua, and Noah were not too thrilled with the interaction of the movie but Jacob loved it!

Allen enjoyed it though...

Then we got to try all the coke from all over the world...

Bridget had her first taste of coke.....

Then we let the kids play at the playground and run off some of that sugar and caffine...

This is the spot where the bomb went off at the 1996 Olympics....It hit this huge statue which actually saved a lot of people because of that.

Then we headed to Taco Mac for dinner....

check out my HUGE chicken Nachos! I felt like i ate so much but it didn't even look like I had any. It actually worked out great because on the way home, a homeless man literally knocked on our window asking for money so we gave him my food. I am really glad he did because to be honest, I think it was Noah's first real encounter with a homeless person and he was fascinated with asking questions the whole way home about why we gave him our food, why the man didn't have any, where did he live, etc. It was a great teaching moment!!

We said goodbye to our friends and headed home. It was so good to see them and can't wait to see them again soon!!! We love you Halpern's!!!
