Family Fun Day at the zoo!

Friday after school, Allen, Noah, and I headed off for a fun day at the zoo. We recently bought a family membership and couldn't wait to try it out!!

The zoo just opened this really awesome parakete house where the birds fly openly and you can feed them. It was so cool!!!

Noah was excited about feeding them but too excited about letting one climb on his arm.

We headed out to look at the crazy amimals.... I think this is a turkey or something.

And we love the elephants!!

and the giraffe's too!

And my favorite is the lion cub!!!

I wasn't sure who was watching and who was being watched with this guy....he just sat there watching and studying everyone who came by!!

Then we saw the naked mole rats and played on the tunnel playground.

We saw the new panda cub which was so cute...but not as cute as MY panda cub!!

can you say swine flu???

I have never been a huge fan of petting zoo's so to be honest I kind of take us the long way around so Noah doesn't see it but this time i thoughtit would be cool if Noah wanted to pet the animals and see them up close so we went in. Noah was not too sure of everything and stayed close to me at all times.

We watched the trainer trying to train the sheep to go in circles and Noah got more confidance in being with the animals.

So he decided to pet a sheep. Right when he pet the thing, the sheep "bahhhhhhhed" so loud that Noah and I both jumped out of our skins and although we were laughing about it, Noah had had enough!! hahaha...personally I did too!! I am many things...but not a farm girl!!

Now this is more my style...riding the train...

Of course we had to stop by the playground so Noah could play the bongos

The day would not be complete without some yummy cotton candy!!!

We left the zoo and headed downtown right at rush hour traffic time so we decided to stop by the ESPN Zone for some dinner and enjoy the nice weather by eating on the patio.

We finished the great day off with a yummy milkshake!!

And then danced the whole way home in the car...

What a fun family day!!!
