Family Camping Trip

Okay, if you came looking for pictures, you came to the right place. Allen, Noah and I took a family camping trip to th North Georgia Mountains and pitched a tent for a night. We left about 10am, made a few stops along the way for last minute things, and then blasted the radio to Noah's favorite "Lightning McQueen Song" aka "Life is A Highway" for a little sing-a-long.

Allen sang along too...

We got to the camp site about noon and Allen and Noah did a great job setting up the tent...

Then Noah got tired and decided to check out the trail mix while Allen set up the tent...

Noah was pretty excited about the whole thing

He did however, get motivated to help again when he realized you had to use a mallet to nail the tent down...

Noah was SO excited one he was allowed inside to set up his mattress and sleeping bag...

we were taking a break and enjoying our tent...

Noah kept jumping from sleeping bag to sleeping bag trying to decide which he liked best....

And of course his bear, Michael, came on our trip...

What is great about this park is that there is so much to do for kids...they had a putt putt course there and Noah had never been so we decided to try it out. Allen showed Noah how to hit the ball and then Noah did it on his own and on his very first try ever, he hit a hole in one!!

Then I went right after him and I hit a hole in One!!

I think Noah really enjoyed in even though he had a hard time waiting for everyone to take a turn. He wanted to jump to the next hole right after his turn...

After golf, we walked down to the beautiful lake and beach. Here's Allen and Noah checking out the water...

We played on the beach for a while and Noah liked digging in the sand.

Then we went and played on the playground. Of course, Noah just wanted to swing the whole time.

He was showing us his tricks...

Then we headed back up the hill to our camp and started dinner. Allen is showing off our "stove"

Okay so i had to take a picture of Noah peeing in the woods because he was so excited when i told him he could. For the week before we left, everytime i would say we were going to go camping, Noah would say..."and we can pee in the woods"...hahah

I took a picture of Noah in time-out. He just sat there like this for the whole 3 minutes.

yumm...nothing like dinner in a bag!

Once Noah went to bed, Allen and I hung out by the fire we made.

And of course we tried to figure out what we could burn...allen tried a banana peel.

We woke up ready for some breakfast!

Then we decided to take a morning rest!

We decided to go for a hike...

We decided to take the lake trail and I am so glad we did, it was so beautiful! It was over a mile hike!

There really were some big fish in the lake.

It was really fun watching the fish with Noah.

This is the top of a waterfall...

we found a side trail and decided to walk down it to the waterfall...

it was so beautiful...

Noah kept talking about how cool the waterfall was.

Noah did great walking back up the trail...

And then in the middle of the woods we found Jacob's cabin !!!(okay if you don't watch Lost you have no clue what i am talking about)

It was an awesome little get-a-way and we can't wait to plan another trip!!! Hope you enjoyed all the pictures!!
